While looking out over the land so green,
A lovelier sight not often seen
The afternoon sun touched a mountain tall
Turning a tiny stream into a waterfall
Autumn clouds fleecy and snowy white
Drift slowly through a sky still bright.
Along a farm road a tractor roars
While cooing dove northward soars
Homeward bound workers walk slowly along
While now and then some sing a song
The end of a beautiful autumn day
Oh wish that all days would end that way.
